Permainan Rangku Alu (Rangku Alu Game)
The Rangku Alu game is a traditional game from East Nusa Tenggara, usually played during the harvest season. The game Rangku Alu can also be played not only by children but by all groups and is traditionally played on grassless fields. The tools used are four bamboo poles with a length of about two meters. The Rangku Alu players are divided into two groups: the playing group and the guarding group. The group on guard is in charge of moving the four bamboo poles. They squat or sit, and each holds two bamboo poles. The playing group will enter into a square field formed by the bamboo poles, which the group on guard moves. They will jump up and down to the rhythm of opening and closing the bamboo poles.
