Permainan Congklak (Congklak Game)
Congklak is believed to have come from African or Arab countries, but this game is identical to the traditional Javanese game. Apart from Java, this game is also known in other areas; Congklak was spread through Asia by Arab traders. The game is played by two people, and the two people use a songkok board and 98 (14 x 7) seeds called songkok seeds. Congklak panels are generally made of wood and plastic, while the seeds are made of shells, stones, marbles, or plastic.
The skills honed from playing songkok are accuracy, critical thinking (strategy), communication, and teamwork.
