The Cenge-Cenge game is one of the children’s games that is quite popular in the Minahasa area and its surroundings. This game became popular in the 1950s to 1990s. In North Sulawesi, this game is known as Cenge-Cenge, while in Java, it is known as Engklek, Sunda Manda, or Sura Manda. In other areas, some call it Teklek, Jlong-jing, Dampu or Plate. The way to play is by jumping on one foot and not stepping on the line. Lines are drawn like squares on the ground. If the line is stepped on by a player who is jumping, the player is deemed to have lost.
