The excitement of the Mentari Group’s 20th Anniversary celebration, titled Mentari Carnival on January 8th, 2021, is a special moment for Mentari Group because it is celebrated when Indonesia is in the midst of the Covid-19 outbreak. All levels of management and employees (Mentari Group members) manifest gratitude and happiness for the important celebration of the beginning of the company and the achievements of Mentari Group by combining optimistic energy and enthusiasm.
Mentari Group members virtually celebrate Mentari Group’s anniversary by holding a series of creative events for two days in celebrating Mentari Group’s 20th Anniversary & Mentari Annual Awards 2020. On January 8th, 2021, a speech by management; candlelight ceremony; #CeritaInsanMentari competition; video/audio jingles; stand-up comedy videos show; ‘step together, stronger as one’ video show; Mentari quizzes; music performances; and announcement of winners take place. On January 9th, 2021, there will be announcements of the winners of the Mentari Heroes 2020, Mentari Loyalty Awards 2020, door prizes, and music performances on the spectacular virtual stage.
The day of celebration begins with the screening of a video compilation of Mentari group members (a video collage of Mentari Group members singing the Mentari Group’s anthem and wearing batik clothes). After that, management have the opportunity to convey their views on the meaning of Mentari’s birthday.
To commemorate Mentari Group’s journey for the last 20 years, the event committee has prepared a special video. This video contains flashbacks from the 20 years of Mentari Group operations and also testimonials/remarks from Mentari’s valued customers and partners.
After the video screening, the event continues with a CEO session to give thanks for the celebration of Mentari Group’s 20th Anniversary. For two decades, Mentari Group’s journey has been full of commitment in building education to develop the nation. Management and Mentari Group members always maintain the values and quality of the company so that the company, which was founded 20 years ago, continues to grow well.
When talking about birthday celebrations, Mentari Group members certainly don’t miss blowing out the birthday candles! Blowing out birthday candles at Mentari Group’s Anniversary celebration is a ceremonial event as a form of gratitude and joy for Mentari Group members in welcoming Mentari Group’s 20th birthday. Management cuts cakes and blows candles at the Mentari Gallery in Jakarta. At the same time across Indonesia, Mentari Group members participate in the celebration by having mini cakes and candles in their respective places.
Then, the event is continued with musical performances and a series of competitions. The first to be held is the screening of the best Mentari jingles. Each division or cross division is required to participate in the Mentari jingle competition. The participants make jingles with a maximum duration of two minutes. Jingles are about the 20th anniversary of Mentari and company values.
Meanwhile, a stand-up comedy competition is carried out by sending video recordings to the committee and some of the best works are shown during the celebration on January 8, 2021.
“Step together, stronger as one” is a competition between divisions to solve the given clues. At the end of the competition, each group makes a video of the performance. The best videos are also shown on the day of celebration.
The event continues with Mentari quizzes. In these quizzes, Mentari Group members get random questions about matters related to Mentari Group.
In the #CeritaInsanMentari competition, Mentari Group members describe their journey, inspirational story or touching moments during their career at Mentari Group. The competition is conducted with at least two divisions of participants.
To add excitement to the celebration, as the embodiment of the event titled Mentari Carnival, all Mentari Group members wear bright colored costumes with festive accessories during the celebrations on January 8th. The next day, on January 9, Mentari Group members wear Nusantara batik.
Because the company’s success cannot be separated from the contribution of all employees, on the second day of celebration the Mentari Awards 2020 are announced. These awards are a form of appreciation for Mentari Group members who have actively contributed and done their best for the company.
A series of creative events are held to enliven the company anniversary so that for two days each event makes an impression on the hearts of Mentari Group members. The event is closed with the announcement of the winners of each competition, winners’ remarks, online group photos, and prayers from the head of the event.
